Planner Types How many types of people are there in Planning

Professional Planners - Those who work for commissions or in departments around WV.

Planning Commissioners - Those who are on the planning commission.

Board of Zoning Appeals - Those who are on the board of zoning appeals.

Students - Those who are studying to become land, county, or urban planners.

Within West Virginia planners are found at the municipal, county, and regional levels.

Currently:

26 of the 55 counties have planning commissions

52 of the 80 cities have planning commissions

15 of the 144 towns have planning commissions

0 of the 6 villages have planning commissions
