Planner Types How many types of people are there in Planning
Professional Planners - Those who work for commissions or in departments around WV.
Planning Commissioners - Those who are on the planning commission.
Board of Zoning Appeals - Those who are on the board of zoning appeals.
Students - Those who are studying to become land, county, or urban planners.
Within West Virginia planners are found at the municipal, county, and regional levels.
Currently:
27of the 55 counties have planning commissions (was 26 in 2021)
62 of the 80 cities have planning commissions (was 52 in 2021)
23 of the 144 towns have planning commissions (was 15 in 2021)
2 of the 6 villages have planning commissions (was 0 in 2021)
